    Our goal  at  Alpha  Gamma  Rho  Fraternity  is  to  reward  members  who  have  excellent  academic achievements,  great campus involvement, and outstanding leadership. Scholarships are available to reward members for these various achievements. Below is a list of all scholarship opportunities available to the men of the Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity Theta Chapter.

     

    PAYNE-LONGWELL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

    Eligibility:

    All undergraduates, excluding exiting seniors in their final semester

    Criteria:

    Semester GPA of 3.5 or greater

    Award:

    $100 per recipient

    Funding Source:

    Building Association (BA) Alumni Board

    Deadline:

    None, awards are made after review of semester grade reports

    Award Frequency:

    Awarded each semester

     

     

     

    PAYNE-LONGWELL MENTOR SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

    Eligibility:

    Mentors whose mentee’s grades have improved to above a 3.0 semester GPA

    Criteria:

    Mentors are assigned to members who fall below the house minimum 2.5 GPA

    requirement. Mentee’s grades must improve above a 3.0 semester GPA in order for the mentor to receive an award.

    Award:

    $200 to each mentor

    Deadline:

    None, awards are made after review of semester grade reports

    Award Frequency:

    Awarded each semester

     

     

     

    NEWSOM-FRAZIER LEADERSHIP AWARD

    Eligibility:

    Undergraduates with a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing

    Criteria:

    Academics, leadership and campus involvement. Resumes will be submitted to an

    alumni review committee. Interviews will be conducted with applicants during the fall semester and selections made by this committee.

    Award:

    Up to $500 per recipient

    Funding Source:

    Newsom-Frazier Theta Fund (AGR Home Office)

    Deadline:

    Fall Semester

    Award Frequency:

    Awarded annually at Founders' Day

     


     

    OSCAR A. THORNE LEADERSHIP AWARD

    Eligibility:

    Sophomore, Junior, or Senior Standing

    Criteria:

    Academics, leadership and campus involvement. Resumes will be submitted to an

    alumni review committee. Selections will made by this committee.

    Award:

    Up to $300 per recipient

    Funding Source:

    Oscar A. Thorne Scholarship Fund (AGR Home Office)

    Deadline:

    Fall Semester

    Award Frequency:

    Awarded annually at Founders' Day

     

     

     

    MAX GLOVER LEADERSHIP AWARD

    Eligibility:

    AGR undergraduate executive officers

    Criteria:

    Awarded to executive officers who have shown outstanding leadership within the

    chapter and on campus. Selections will made by an alumni review committee.

    Award:

    Up to $200 per recipient

    Funding Source:

    Building Association (BA) Alumni Board

    Deadline:

    Fall Semester

    Award Frequency:

    Awarded annually at Founders' Day

     

     

     

    CECIL KEASLER MEMORIAL AWARDS

    Eligibility:

    Sophomore and junior undergraduates

    Criteria:

    Awards are given to the sophomore and junior who earn the highest level of house

    points within their respective classes.

    Award:

    $250 per recipient

    Funding Source:

    Building Association (BA) Alumni Board

    Deadline:

    Not applicable, based on review of house points in fall semester

    Award Frequency:

    JERRY LITTON OUTSTANDING NEW MEMBER AWARD

    Eligibility:

    New member undergraduates

    Criteria:

    Award is granted to the most outstanding new member of the fall semester class,

    which is voted on by the undergraduate chapter

    Award:

    $400

    OUTSTANDING INCOMING NEW MEMBERS AWARD

    Eligibility:

    New member undergraduates

    Criteria:

    Awards are given to the two new members with the highest fall semester house

    points, as determined by the house points system

    Award:

    $100 per recipient

    JEFF ZIMMERSCHIED MOST ATHLETIC MEMBER AWARD

    Eligibility:

    All undergraduates

    Criteria:

    Awarded to the most athletic member of the chapter, based on a vote by the

    undergraduate chapter

    Award:

    $75

    HIGHEST FALL SEMESTER GRADES AWARD

    Eligibility:

    All undergraduates

    Criteria:

    Award is granted to the member with the highest fall semester grades

    MOST IMPROVED GRADES AWARD

    Eligibility:

    All undergraduates

    Criteria:

    Award is granted to the member with the most improved grades

    ON-CAMPUS LEADER AWARD

    Eligibility:

    All undergraduates

    Criteria:

    Granted to the on-campus leader of the chapter, determined by on-campus house

    points after the fall semester.

    BEST BIG BROTHER/ LITTLE BROTHER GRADES

    Eligibility:

    Big brother/little brother undergraduate pairings

    Criteria:

    Award is granted to the big brother/little brother pair achieving the highest GPA.

    Each new member is paired with an upperclassman that serves as their big brother.

    Award:

    $100 each
